Altar Servers

The servers aid the priest at Mass and lead the congregation in prayer through their example in the sanctuary. Open to 5th graders & up.  Please call Fr. Matthew 293-8231

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Help the priests distribute the Eucharist during Mass as well as taking communion to those in the hospital, nursing homes, and at home.  Please call Rebecca Jellison 830-5172

Lectors

Proclaim the Word of the Lord at Mass. Open to those in full communion with the Church.

Choir / Music program

The adult choir sings at the 8:30am Mass on Sunday. Practices are Thursdays at 7:00pm in the Church. Instrumentalists also participate in the liturgy on special occasions.

Ushers

Aid the faithful in finding seats as well as helping with the collection and being attentive to any special situations during Mass. Please call the parish office 293-8231

Ministries of Service

 

Religious Education

We are in need of catechists and aides to assist the catechists for our catechism classes between Masses on Sunday mornings during the school year to help our public school students (K-8) deepen their faith and their love for Christ and offer them the firm sacramental foundation that is so important in life.  If you assist then the class you would help would be during one of these two sections: Sunday mornings from 9:35am – 10:35am, or from 12:15pm – 1:15pm. Please call Harry Palmer at 293-8071

RCIA (rite of Christian initiation of adults)

The RCIA process helps adults interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and may be considering joining the Church. Your help in this ministry will be a blessing to others, will lead you deeper in faith and conversion, and will be a way to live out your baptismal call to evangelize.  The meetings are on Thursday evenings, beginning in September through April.

Youth Group

Every Thursday, 7:00pm – 8:30pm, all high school youth of the parish are invited to gather together with their peers and adult mentors to grow deeper in faith, community, and discipleship.  Meetings are held in the Church basement in the Multipurpose Room.  No sign up needed, teens can just walk in. Adult volunteers can assist with food, setup, and facilitate with Fr. Zak. Adults who desire to assist, please call Fr. Zak at 293-8231

School breakfast

Help serve the students breakfast in the cafeteria before school from 7:30 – 8am. Once a week commitment during the school year. Please call the school office 293-8451

School Lunch

Help prepare and serve the students lunch in the cafeteria. Once a week commitment from 11:15am – 12:45pm when school is in session.  Please call the school office 293-8451

After-School Mentors

Help students practice their math and reading skills after school. Students use the online ALEKS math program in the computer lab and can benefit from one-on-one reading sessions after school.  The after school sessions are on Mondays and Thursday from 3:00pm – 4:00pm.

Funeral Ministry

A committee of individuals who help families plan the funeral liturgy of a loved one. A member calls the family and offers to meet with the family to help them organize the details of the liturgy.

Funeral Dinner Ministry

These volunteers prepare and serve a lunch to family and friends after a funeral service, offering some comfort and assistance in a time of crisis and sorrow in a family.

Sunday Social

Help provide and serve coffee, juice, & donuts after Sunday Mass during religious education classes.

Haiti Ministry

Maintain contact with current pastor of our sister parish in Haiti, write to the parish, exchange news & photos, etc. Please call the parish office 293-8231

English Classes

More teachers needed to help our Hispanic parishioners improve their English skills. Teaching materials are excellent and self-explanatory. Classes meet in 8-week sessions three times per year.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

Assist the needy of our community by staffing the food pantry on Tuesdays from 1-3pm & through limited financial assistance for rent & utilities payments. Please call church office to volunteer 293-8231

Festival Committee

Help plan, organize, & run the annual parish festival. Bring your best ideas and teamwork to these meetings beginning about 6 months prior to the festival event. 

Stewardship Committee

Helps oversee stewardship kiosk, maintaining up-to-date information for parishioners to give of their time, talent, & treasure.

Altar & Rosary Society

Meeting monthly on Tuesday following first Sunday, this group promotes Marian devotion through monthly rosary recitation before 8am Mass on first Sundays and by hosting an annual May Crowning event. They also help maintain the altar and sanctuary, as well as supporting ReasonEnoughToAct and reaching out to parishioners in nursing homes.

Daughters of Isabella

International charitable organization of Catholic women of at least 16 years of age, helping members to grow in their faith and live out the Gospel message in their lives through love and service. Meet 3rd Tuesdays at 7pm in Vincent Hall. Activities include rosary for peace, evenings of recollections, family picnics, food drives, carry-in dinners, and much more.

All parishioners age 55 and over are invited to meet at 12:30 on the 4th Wednesday of each month participate for potluck luncheon. Please bring a dish to share.
